Crunchyroll reported to be working with NBCUniversal to produce new Anime. "Crunchyroll and NUEJ share a passion for producing anime that has widespread appeal around the globe," Crunchyroll founder and GM Kun Gao said. "The partnership made sense as an exciting opportunity to bring more high-quality content to the anime community."
As part of this initiative, Crunchyroll is bringing the first three episodes of The Ancient Magus' Bride anime to 300 theaters across North America on July 26.
Back in 2015, Crunchyroll announced a joint venture to co-produce anime with Sumitomo Corporation. It has since invested in more than two dozen anime productions.
